Requirements vary by listing manager. Common requirements include a government-issued ID, first month payment, and a refundable security deposit. Some listings may also require screening or additional documents.
For the best selection, booking 2-6 weeks ahead is usually safer. Last-minute options can still appear, but popular neighborhoods and high-demand seasons tend to fill first.
Many stays can be extended if dates remain available. Request extensions as early as possible since pricing and availability can change.
In New York City, most furnished listings require a 30-night minimum stay. Outside NYC, many markets can support shorter stays (often weekly), depending on the listing and local regulations. Always confirm the stay rules shown on each listing.
